Benefits of Using Elliptical Machines
By Allan Henry
Elliptical Machine Benefits
Absolutely the best part of buying and owning an elliptical machine is that you can workout in the privacy and comfort of your own home. Most are easy to store as well, which is perfect if you do not have a gym or spare room in your home to workout in. You can take it out when you are ready to work out and store it away when you are not using it. For example, if you use an elliptical machine in your living room you should be able to fold it up and easily store it hidden away, or even under your couch.
You Have Complete Control
An elliptical machine is controlled by your movements, so when you want to stop you can, unlike a treadmill where you would have to press a button and wait for it to stop in order to get off of the machine safely.
No Impact Work Outs
The best benefit of elliptical machines is that it is a no impact work out. Your feet and hands are always on the machine, which means that your limbs are not pounding on a machine or sidewalk. It is much easier on your joints and it practically eliminates any joint injuries. It is also best for those with joint problems to use so it does not aggravate the injuries. Using an elliptical machine can have the same benefits as walking; jogging or running without the possible injuries to your joints that traditional jogging imposes. This is something that no other workout equipment can offer you and your body. You will get a complete work out (a full body work out) without the impact on your joints that others would have. Using an elliptical machine is much easier on your joints, back, knees, shins, and ankles. You can even use an elliptical machine if you have such ailments as arthritis.
Burn More Calories with the Same Efforts
An elliptical machine has been shown to burn more calories than a treadmill or an exercise bicycle. When you are using an elliptical machine it can be fun and relaxing, feeling like you are taking a invigorating walk, although you are actually exerting as much energy as you would be if you were going for a run.
